⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽ ☆ ☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽ ☆ ☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽ ☆ ☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅First off, my interests.I'm sort of a collector. I've been picking up music boxes and porcelain figurines ever since I was a kid. I have a good deal of merch (both official and fan-made) based off of characters and media that I'm attached to. I also have a decent video game collection - nothing amazing, but I cherish it. My preferred types of games are RPGs, horror games, platformers, and weird, obscure stuff that about 15 people know about. My top five favorites, in no particular order, are The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Symphonia, Haunting Ground, Parasite Eve, and the original Silent Hill 2! These games have helped define who I am now.My taste in music is varied. I'm pretty partial to music from the 80s and 90s, and some of my most listened to tracks are from game and movie scores. The way I see it, the genre of music doesn't matter - as long as I like it, that's what counts. My top five favorite songs are "Material Girl" by Madonna, "Maybe Monday" by 'Til Tuesday, "Swimming Home" by Evanescence, "92°" by Siouxsie and the Banshees, and "Solitaire" by Laura Branigan.Not quite as big into movies as I am video games, but I do still consider myself a bit of a movie buff. I like films of many different styles and genres. That said, I do tend to favor certain types. I'm a sucker for animation of all kinds, and adore horror (specifically films that focus on body, psychological, and gothic horror) and dark fantasy. Some of my favorites include Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Heathers, Carrie (1976), Coraline, and Angel's Egg. All five are must watches - consider checking them out when you can!I like to take photographs too! Nature is beautiful and I think it should be appreciated whenever possible. Maybe I'll share some photos I've taken, one day.Second, some more important tidbits.I take breaks from the online world a lot, so I may disappear for a while without much warning. I've got a life outside of the internet, after all. If something serious is goin' on, I'll do my best to reach out, especially if I consider you a close friend. But there may be times where I'm not able to, so bear with me.On a similar note, I'm very, very shy and that is often reflected in how little I interact with people. There will be times where you reply to me, send me a DM, or otherwise try to talk to me and I either take a while to respond or don't say anything at all. Please don't take it personally, it probably isn't anything you've said or done. Like I said, I'm simply very shy and it can be difficult for me to speak to others. If it's important, I'll do my very best to respond as soon as possible.I'm an artist and a writer, and while I used to post my stuff online, I've since stopped. My art has grown more personal to me over the years, so I choose to keep it to myself. But I do love making it. And who knows, maybe I'll start sharing my work online again sometime... things change.I'm not a huge animal lover, in the sense that I don't consider myself a bleeding heart, but I do appreciate them. My pet cats mean the world to me. I also like deer, birds (especially corvids and hummingbirds), rabbits, moths, and butterflies. On the flipside, I'm not a dog person. My aversion to them is pretty strong for several reasons that I will not divulge here. It's not a flat-out hatred as I have owned/loved several different breeds in the past. I just don't find them pleasant to be around anymore. They overwhelm my senses and make me anxious. That said, advocates and owners of "pit bull" or "bully" type dogs might as well not even bother engaging. You won't like me and I can assure that I definitely don't like you. This is a topic that I feel very strongly about. Don't try to change my mind or convince me that I'm wrong, it won't work and I'm not interested in having a discussion about it. Lusamine? - In contrast with Mewtwo, when it comes to Lusamine, I am specifically referring to her video game counterpart from Pokemon Sun/Moon.
Spyro? - Only referring to his portrayal in the original PS1 games. I do not care for how his characterization was handled in the Legend of Spyro, Skylanders, or Reignited Trilogy.
Link? - When I say that Link is one of my favorite characters, I mean pretty much every version of him. Yes, even the cartoon and CD-I ones. His "Hero of Time" incarnation is my personal favorite, however (hence why he was used for the picture).
Zelda? - The same thing I stated about Link applies to Zelda. It's a bit harder to pick a favorite incarnation of the princess, but Twilight Princess is up there. Maria? - When talking about Maria (and the other Silent Hill 2 characters), I am very specifically referring to the characters as they are portrayed in the original PS2 version of the game. As far as I'm concerned, the remake doesn't exist.
Heather Chandler? - I am aware that the musical version of Heathers is more popular/well-known than the film. I enjoy the musical, but have some hang ups about its version of the story's characters and how it handles its subject matter. So, whenever I'm talking about Heathers or any of its characters, it is safe to assume that I'm talking about the movie specifically unless I state otherwise.
